As a member of the Leavitt Group, we have the resources of a large national insurance broker and the personalized touch of a locally-owned independent insurance agency. Our agency has a great group of individuals who work hard, have fun, and truly enjoy their job. This is a unique opportunity for a qualified professional to, over time, earn an equity stake in a well-respected and long-standing independent agency. The professional hired will be primarily responsible for generating new insurance sales volume through personal contacts, referrals, and cross selling. Qualified candidates should demonstrate a solid track record in sales. Qualified applicants must be capable of pursuing and closing sales of new and existing commercial insurance accounts. We will support you by providing training, supporting licensing exams, and guidance from experienced sales professionals with our producer mentor program.

Requirements

Job requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Strong and successful sale history. Must be used to making a $75,000+ income
  • Advanced communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of relationship development and insurance products available through the agency
  • Basic insurance producer-type capabilities, including:
    • Prospect for new business from existing clients and identified target groups.
    • Contact prospects for the purpose of providing a quote and making sales appointments.
    • Survey prospects to determine insurance needs, inspecting current insurance policies, risk management plans, property, products, and records.
    • Collect detailed risk and underwriting information including survey data and loss history.
    • Develop and deliver formal proposals of insurance including details of coverage, limits, deductibles, and other pertinent information.
    • Work with service person or marketer to complete company submissions and selection of potential markets.
    • Conduct client and prospect appointments, communicating proposals and renewals, explaining details, and communicating desire to conduct business.
    • Introduce service person to clients and request that service calls be directed to them; forward all service-related calls to assigned service person.
    • Participate in renewals, when appropriate, by reviewing expiration listing with service person to determine appropriate action; collection of information to prepare renewal submissions.
    • Promote agency and insurance industry in the community.
